About

J.T. Curtis serves as the Head of School and Head Varsity Football Coach at John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, Louisiana, a school founded in 1962 by his parents, Reverend John Thomas Curtis, Sr. and Merle Manguno Curtis. Continuing his parents' vision of offering a well-rounded Christian education, J.T. is deeply embedded in school life—frequently attending student events ranging from athletics to dance competitions and plays, while also pastoring at Coliseum Place Baptist Church and co-hosting WGNO's "Friday Night Football" for 30 years.

Recognized as one of the greatest football coaches at any level, J.T. has amassed more than 620 career victories over a 55+ season coaching tenure. After starting his career with a 0-10 record in 1969, he quickly turned the program into a national powerhouse, maintaining a winning record every year since 1970, capturing 27 state championships, and earning induction into multiple prestige halls of fame.
